You have a rare opportunity to visit Żnin – the town with a very long history (over 700 years). It used to be the Archbishops’ Residence. Opposite the St. Florian’s church, built in the C15th, you will find Suffragan Bishop’s Office built in classical style in 1795. Today, it is a home to the Museum of Sacred Art. What is more, the Museum of Paluki Land is situated in the Gothic town hall tower from the C15th.

Next, using a narrow gauge railway we visit Wenecja. Wenecja, whose name is identical with the Polish name for Venice, is located in the heart of Pałuki Land among three lakes: Biskupińskie, Weneckie and Skrzynka. We visit the remains of the 14th-century castle and Narrow Gauge Railway Museum where you can see a dozen of steam engines, the carriages with the exhibitions of equipment and railway uniforms. It is the biggest 660-millimetre Gauge Railway Museum in Europe.

The next attraction awaiting for visitors on the route is the Archeological Museum in Biskupin easily noticed while travelling by a narrow gauge railway. The reconstruction of a Lusatian settlement from before 2500 years ago is located there. In the area, you will also find a permanent exhibition “Biskupin and its surrounding – 10,000 years of history” dedicated to the archeological discoveries in this region. It was also possible to reconstruct other parts of the settlement such as the breakwater, the rampart, the gate, the square and two rows of houses. An interesting museum peace is also a wooden hut moved from nearby in 1973 dated back to 1820. You can try archery, horse riding and coining there.

It is our last stop. The most interesting monument in Gąsawa is St. Nicolas church made of larch at the end of C17th. Next to it, you can admire the wooden bell tower built in C18th/C19th. The additional relic is the town arrangement with a big market in the centre where we start our way back.
